• Christ and Church Life and Building Spirit and Bride

As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

About the Trinity

First of all, there is one God(1Cor8:4), however, the Triune God has three aspects of person as the the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. And all three are Gods eternal. Three persons but one entity, distinct yet unseparable. One God with three aspects, equivalent in status. This is trully mysterious beyond human perception.According to the Bible, the divine Trinity can be described by coexistence. coinheritance, essential trinity, and economical trinity.

  1. Coexistence– Three coexist from eternal past to eternal future as one. (J14:16, 2Cor13:14)
    1. Not Modalism- Father became the Son, so Father is no more in Heaven. Then the Son became the Spirit, and the Son is no more.
    2. Not Arianism nor Dynamic Monarchianism- Father is the only God, and Son was the created one, and then raised to level of God
    3. Not Docetism nor Phantasm – Christ was an illusion, not taking the real form of flesh.
  2. Coinheritance – The Father, the Son, the Spirit are always in one another. The Father is in the Son and Son is in the Father. The Son became the Spirit.
    1. The Son is in the Father, and the Father is in the Son (J14:10)
    2. The Father is with the Son (J8:29)
    3. The Son is Full of Holy Spirit (L4:1)
    4. The Son is the Father (I9:6)
    5. The Son became the life-giving Spirit (1Cor15:45)
    6. The Lord is the Spirit (2Cor3:17)
  3. Economical Trinity– To accomplish God’s economy, God has to be three.
    1. Father predestinated His elect unto sonship because of love.
    2. Son incarnated, lived a human life, died on the cross to accomplish the redemption, resurrected from the dead, ascended to the heavenly throne.
    3. The indwelling and inner-operating Spirit has fellowship with all the believers through human spirits, dispensing all the riches of the Triune God into the spirits of His chosen people. By being anointed and governed inwardly, we can live out and express Him in life nad nature, which is his original intention before the foundation of the world!
  4. Essential Trinity– The Father, the Son, the Spirit is always one in essence. When the Son incarnated, the Father was with Him in essence but also operate all thing according to His will and pleasure in the heavenly throne economically. Even when Christ was cruified, the Father was with Him in essence, but the Father was in the heavens judging the sins economically.
    1. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit are one (Coinheritance)
    2. The Father is eternal(I9:6); the Son is eternal(H1:12); the Spirit is eternal(H9:14)
    3. The Father is God(E1:17); the Son is God(H1:8); the Spirit is God (Acts5:3-4)

Jesus Christ is a complete God and a perfect Man

  1. His Divinity– All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him. His life is eternal, uncreated, divine, and holy.
    1. “A baby is given to us, and His name will be called the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Eternal Father, and the Prince of peace. ” I9:6
    2. “But of the Son, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom. ” H1:8
  2. His Humanity
    1. Jesus Christ was a man in flesh. 2T2:5, 3:16
    2. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. He took the created human flesh form but was perfect and unsinned. Col1:15
    3. As the son of man, he has the position to deal with Satan, along with all the negative things in the universe, reconciliating God with man.
    4. Through human living, He can consider our weakness and pray for us as our high priest before God’s throne.
    5. He is the Mediator between God and man as the righeous satisfaction of God for the redemption of men’s sins.

Through incarnation in flesh, Christ brings God into man; through death, He accomplish redemption; through resurrection, God accepted His offerings and reconciled with man; through ascension, he brings man unto God, opening a new and living way through the veil, which is His flesh, between God and man. Today, Christ dwells in all His belivers and His believers dwells in Him. God and man are joining together in spirit. What a mystery!
