• Christ and Church Life and Building Spirit and Bride

As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

Some random walk on the body of Christ

The church being the body of Christ denotes several essential truth: the life Christ, the kingdom of God, and a living organism
  1. The body is associated with life. We need to have and be filled with the life of Christ to be part of His body. No life, no body. Outwardly speaking, the appearance of the church is all the believers gathered together, but intrinsically speaking, the essence of the church is Christ being formed, deposited , and constituted in all believers.
  2. The body is related to the Head in an authority-submission relationship. Christ is the Head of the body, and He should have total control and government over His body. The body should have full submission to the Head with no excuse or hesitation. A kingdom is the realm where God rules, indicating that the body is also the kingdom of God.
  3. The body indicates a built and grown organism. A body is one concrete and substantial entity, not abstract, invisible, divided, intangible, or floating components. It took time for the Lord to fully saturate each of His member, establish them, feed and supply them with Christ, and build all members into one organic, functioning and expressing entity.  The essence of the body is that all the members are joined, knitted, blended, collaborating, coordinating, mingled, and incorporated.
