    基督與召會
    生命與建造
    那靈與新婦

As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

THE SEVEN SPIRITS and THE SPIRIT

THE SEVEN SPIRITS

In substance and existence God’s Spirit is one, but in the book of Revelation the Spirit is called the seven Spirits (1:4; 4:5; 5:6), indicating that the Spirit is sevenfold intensified in function and work of God’s operation to counteract the degradation of the church, which started at the time the book of Revelation was written.

Revelation

1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is coming, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,

2:29 And to the messenger of the church in Sardis write: These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works, that you have a name that you are living, and yet you are dead.

3:1 And to the messenger of the church in Sardis write: These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works, that you have a name that you are living, and yet you are dead.

4:5 And out of the throne come forth lightnings and voices and thunders. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;

5:6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having just been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

THE SPIRIT

The Spirit of God was there from the beginning (Gen. 1:1-2), but the Spirit as the all-inclusive Spirit of Jesus Christ was “not yet” before the Lord Jesus was crucified and resurrected (John 7:39 ). The Spirit is the Triune God after He has passed through the process of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. Ultimately the Spirit of God is the Spirit.

Revelation only used two titles of the Spirit: the seven Spirits and the Spirit. In 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; and 5:6 we have the seven Spirits. In chapters 2 and 3 the title “the Spirit” is used again and again. It is also found in Revelation 14:13 and in Revelation 22:17. This verse says, “The Spirit and the bride say, Come.” This reveals that the Spirit as the totality of the processed Triune God has become one with the church, who is now fully matured to be the bride. The Spirit is the ultimate expression of the processed Triune God, and the bride is the ultimate expression of the transformed tripartite man.

Ultimately, the Spirit is the totality, the aggregate, of all the elements of the titles of the Spirit of God. This Spirit is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Father, the Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of the Son of God, the Spirit of Jesus, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Lord Spirit, the Spirit of the living God, the life-giving Spirit, the Spirit of life, the Spirit of grace, the Spirit of reality, the Comforter, the Spirit of power, the Spirit of glory and that of God, the eternal Spirit, and the seven Spirits. The Spirit is the all-inclusive, processed, compound, indwelling, sevenfold intensified, and consummated Spirit of the processed Triune God to be the eternal protion of his chose, redeemed, regenerated, sanctified, transformed, and glorified tripartite people as their life, life supply, and everything.

John 7:39

But this He said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed into Him were about to receive; for the Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Galatians 3:14

In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Revelation
2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.
2:11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall by no means be hurt of the second death.
2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him wwho overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and to him I will give a white stone, and upon the stone a new name written, which no one knows except him who receives it.
2:29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
3:6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
3:13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
3:22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
14:13 And I heard a voice out of heaven, saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.
22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely.
