• Christ and Church Life and Building Spirit and Bride

As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

The governing vision for denying the soul life

Brothers and sisters, we need to have a proper vision to see the significance of losing the soul life. This vision has 4 aspects:

The first aspect of the vision is Christ. We need to see that Christ is the wonderful God-Man, the complete God and the perfect Man, the mingling of divinity and humanity, the center of God’s economy. He is the way, the reality, and the life. He is the most precious treasure in the universe. He is Lord of all lords sitting on the throne, and also the Jubilee for us to enjoy in our spirits. For the gaining of such Christ, our soul life is a small price to pay.

Another central aspect of the vision is the cross. We need to see that the cross is God’s unique way. Christ solves and terminates all the negative thins and problems in the universe, including self, flesh, sins, world, old creation, and Satan, by His all-inclusive death on the cross. The self has no other destiny but to be crucified and crossed out.

The third aspect of the vision is the self. If we need what the self really is, we would hate it rather than loving it. The self hidden is us could our hidden pride, strife, envy, greed, suspicion, rebellion, and hypocrisy. The self also tends to hide itself from the light, and blinds us from seeing itself. We need to see that we are helpless and hopeless without Lord’s exposing light, and the healing life of Christ is our only cure.

Lastly, we need to have a vision for the kingdom and the kingdom reward, we can make a very sober comparison between the kingdom enjoyments for one thousand-year and the worldly pleasure for the span of our human life. We need to be like Moses, who chose rather to be ill-treated with God’s people than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin, and those who consider the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in the world. Un fact, even at this age, the Lord gives much more joy, peace, or satisfaction than the world can offer, and if we are enjoying the Lord at this age, much more it will be when the kingdom comes.

Brothers and sisters, if we see this vision, we are so sober and wise in making this choice. We would have a spontaneous and definite reaction and make a sober decision to lose our soul-life by taking the way of the cross willingly and by looking away from everything unto our Lord Jesus Christ.
