• Christ and Church Life and Building Spirit and Bride

As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

Pray and Read

Two precious gifts are given to Christians at our salvation. Outwardly, we are given the Holy Bible, the Words of God. Inwardly, we are given the Holy Spirit, which is God Himself.

Given these two gifts, we Christians need to do things: pray in spirit and read the Words. These two are like the two legs of a person. One cannot go on normally and healthily with only one leg. If we only try to touch the Spirit without reading the Words, then we may end up lose and unconstrained.  If we only read the Words without ever touching the Spirit, then we become dead and lifeless.

Bible as God’s Words spoken to us is extremely precious.  Sometimes people ask why God doesn’t reveal Himself or speak to people? Actually God not only spoke and spoke a lot, total of 66 books. In the Bible, God fully revealed His economy, His heart desire, His love, and His Person to us. Praise the Lord for His Words!

Prayer in spirit is also equally precious. We Christians are granted the access to the Lord’s presence without  hindrance! More amazingly, the Holy of Holies is exactly, no more and no less, our human spirits. In finding the Lord in our spirits, all the supply, wisdom, grace, life flow out.

A Christian can never graduate from these two matters, praying and reading. No matter how much we have grown, we need to pray and read. No matter how easy or hard life is, we need to pray and read. No matter how much outward service or meetings we may be involved or attended, we need to pray and read. No matter how we say it, the simple fact is that Christians pray and read. This is our life and our living.
