• Christ and Church Life and Building Spirit and Bride

    As a lover of Christ and a pursuer of truth, I write down my joys, memories and reflections.

    May God lead us all into the secret of His presence, and build us into the oneness of His body in love.

我本罪人貪世福,那裡想到要主;

愛你、念你、順服你,纔可對得住你;

你雖為我捨性命,我對你仍無情;

一面我希奇不迨,一面我要敬拜;

求你按豐盛的憐恤,聽我的禱告;

  • 哦,願我有千萬舌頭,前來讚美救主;
    說祂恩典何等深厚,榮耀何等豐富。
  • 耶穌這名,慰我心情,驅盡我的驚怯;
    是我安息,是我生命,成為我的音樂。
  • 祂因愛我,竟願經歷人世所有苦楚;
    打破罪的捆綁能力,釋放罪的囚徒。
  • 我每靜念救我的愛,立即感覺不配;
    不知祂為甚麼恩待我這人中罪魁。
  • 我今作祂愛的俘虜,甘心作到永久;
    因祂為受死、受辱,使我得以自由。
  • 我既從你可愛的名,知你待我美意;
    假若我有千萬的心,也當一一歸你。

O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing

  1. O for a thousand tongues to sing My great Redeemer’s praise,
    The glories of my God and King,The triumphs of His grace.
  2. My gracious Master and my God,Assist me to proclaim,
    To spread through all the earth abroad,The honors of Thy name.
  3. Jesus! the name that charms our fears,That bids our sorrows cease;
    ‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears,’Tis life, and health, and peace.
  4. His love my heart has captive made,His captive would I be,
    For He was bound, and scourged and died,My captive soul to free.
  5. He breaks the power of canceled sin,He sets the prisoner free;
    His blood can make the foulest clean;His blood availed for me.
  6. So now Thy blessed Name I love,Thy will would e’er be mine.
    Had I a thousand hearts to give,My Lord, they all were Thine!

Seven times have I despised my soul

Khalil Gibran

Kahlil Gibran,1883—1931

Seven times have I despised my soul

The first time when I saw her being meek that she might attain height.
The second time when I saw her limping before the crippled.
The third time when she was given to choose between the hard and the easy, and she chose the easy.
The fourth time when she committed a wrong, and comforted herself that others also commit wrong.
The fifth time when she forbore for weakness, and attributed her patience to strength.
The sixth time when she despised the ugliness of a face, and knew not that it was one of her own masks.
And the seventh time when she sang a song of praise, and deemed it a virtue.

第一次,当我看到她欲以溫柔謙卑而获得成功進步时;
第二次,当我看到她在跛行者面前艱難而行时;
第三次,当她在困难和容易之间,选择了容易时;
第四次,当她犯了错,却以别人也犯错来安慰自己时;
第五次,当她因為软弱而克制不前,却以為她有堅強的耐心时;
第六次,当她鄙視一张脸的丑恶,却不知那正是自己其中的一副面具时;

Think differently

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. – Apple Inc.

Here’s to the crazy Christians. The ones who upset the world (Acts 17:6). The  ones who  cause division (Luke 12:51). The ones who was not disobedient to the heavenly vision (Acts 26:19). They’re not fond of worldly possessions or earthly pleasures. And they find no satisfaction in the present age. You can ignore them, disagree with them, or despise them (1 Cor 1:28). About the only thing you can’t do is stop them. Because they change human hearts. They bring the human race to the divine realm. While some may see them as the crazy ones, I see God-lovers, witnesses, Lamb-followers. and Because the Christians who are crazy enough to think they can turn the age, are the ones who do. – Alex in Christ

A prayer on service

Oh! Lord Jesus! I love You so much!
I confess for my offenses and transgressions.
I re-consecrate myself and my service to You.
I open to You for Your teaching and perfecting.
Oh! how much I need Your guidance.

Draw me, I would run after You.
Enliven my deadened condition.
Restore our intimate and close fellowship.
Oh! Let there be no room for my opinions or prejudice.
Lord, You know how much I desire Your presence.

Teach me how to serve You with other members of the body.
Teach me how to pray into Your burden and according to Your heart.
Teach me how to be a proper person before You, not to just get things done.
Teach me how to blend into the body and function properly.
Teach me how to really serve and function, not just talking.

I pray for a right, humble and empty spirit.
I pray for a loving and burning heart.
I pray for a listening and receiving ear.
I pray for a slow, and proper mouth.
I pray for a calm, forbearing and accommodating attitude.

I pray for the oneness of the Spirit
I pray for the uniting bond of peace.
I pray for love, the uniting bond of perfectness.
I pray for the one accord among the serving ones.
I pray for the genuine building up in spirit.

I call upon Your sweet name, Lord!
I love You and I love to serve You.
You are my God, my King, and my Master.
All the glory to You. Amen.

Save me Lord

Romans 7:24
Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of this death?

Lord! how desperately I need Your salvation.Under Your light and inspection, I am full of sins, self, flesh, and natural man. Lord, I confess.

Save me from worldly ambitions.
Save me from earthly vain-glories.
Save me from natural affections.
Save me from fleshly practices.
Save me from pride, even spiritual pride.

Save me from not living according to the spirit.
Save me from not enjoying You as grace.
Save me from not empty and open .
Save me from trying to be bad.
Save me from trying to be good.
Save me from being not flexible.
Save me from being too flexible.
Save me from having too many principles.
Save me from having no principles.

Save me from not being buildable.
Save me from my peculiarities.
Save me from my rough edges and ruggedness.
Save me from my desire to please men.
Save me from my desire not to please men.
Save me from my desire to be acknowledged.
Save me from my desire not to be acknowledged.

Save me from condemning and judging others.
Save me from not loving others.
Save me from not rejoicing all the time.
Save me from being disturbed by the environments.
Save me from being speaking and acting too quickly.

Save me from self-introspection.
Save me from self-righteousness.
Save me from self-condemnation.
Save me from self-indulgence.

Save me from darkness.
Save me from anxieties.
Save me from unfaithfulness.
Save me from lawlessness and orderlessness.
Save me from indifference.
Save me from independence.

Lord, I admit I simply can’t please You by myself. Alas, whatever I do in myself is pointless; it is  just not of Christ. Lord, I give up, please come in and save me. Do make me a proper vessel according to Your heart. I would not try to please You, I would not plan my path, and I would not define what righteous is. I just want to turn to You and stay in Your presence. Amen.
