After being saved, Christian believers must seek and obey God’s will, for that is the path to true peace and joy, in contrast to following their own desires. To discern God’s will, one must carefully observe three key things – the unfolding of circumstances and events around them, the inner prompting of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and the teachings laid out in Scripture. When these three witnesses harmonize, it rings as an authoritative revelation of God’s will.
Moreover, the input and confirmation of spiritually mature believers in the church can provide valuable additional affirmation.
However, above employing any methods, having a heart that genuinely yearns to do God’s will is paramount, for God will undoubtedly unveil His will to those whose hearts are completely inclined towards obeying Him. In the end, discerning and submitting to God’s will flows not merely from technique, but from attunement – being attuned to God’s voice through life’s circumstances, the Spirit’s inner leading, the written counsel of Scripture, and the spiritual perception of the church
